Still life, Flowers

Still life is, for me, an inaccurate description.  There is a vibrancy to all things and whether it is a cut flower or a potted plant there is a joyousness to them.  Reds seem particularly challenging to paint, perhaps because our natural colour receptors that see the colour red and not shades of red so much.  Pink is a recent addition to the colour chart as once it was merely called a light red rather than a colour in its own right.  These colourful paintings that are still intuitively crafted offering a delightful splash of colour to your home or office space.
